Adding a Watermark to a Word 2007 document is very easy. This tutorial shows you how to add a Picture Watermark to Word 2007. Please click the Watermark button to see the dropdown menu;
Page Layout Tab>Page Background Section>Watermark
In the dropdown menu please click custom watermark and you will see the printed watermark menu shown below;

Choose Picture watermark and click Select Picture button. Now find the image file you want to use as your document’s background, select it and click Insert. Next you need to Scale the image you have selected to use as a Picture Watermark. In the example shown above I have selected “Auto”. More options include;
It is up to you to choose the size of your watermark. The last step is to check or un-check the washout option. If you want to make your Watermark semi transparent please leave the washout option clicked.
