I just love Word 2007 so I like to discover new techniques to use it and then I share my discoveries with my blog readers. I guess today you are here to learn about the “Double Spacing in Word 2007”.
Short Answer to Your Question is Ctrl+2
Select the text where you want to double the space between lines and press “Ctrl+2”. This keyboard shortcut will increase the white space between lines and paragraphs and will make it exactly double than the default space.
If you need more options about the space between lines and paragraphs, follow the steps below;
- Select the text you want to increase or decrease the line space in
- In the paragraph section of “Home” tab click “Line Spacing” (see the picture)

- Clicking the button shown in the above image will open a dropdown menu (see the next image)

- The default space between lines in “1.15” in a Word 2007 document as shown in the snapshot
- You can choose from the predefined spaces or can click “Line Spacing Options”. This will open complete “Paragraph” section of “Home” tab with more options. You can manually enter the value of space between lines or paragraphs according to your needs, align the text and customize page and line breaks in your Word 2007 Documents
