I suggest you to see Watermarks in Word 2007 if you do not already know what a watermark exactly is.
In this tutorial I will teach you how to add a text Watermark in a Word document. In the “Page Layout” Tab please move your pointer to “Page Background” section and click “Watermark” button. You will see a dropdown menu. Now click “Custom Watermark”. As a result of doing this, you will see the following menu;
Please select “Text Watermark” option from the menu shown in the snapshot and follow the steps below;
- Choose your desired language (in this example the language is English (U.S.))
- Type the text you want to see as a watermark in the background of your document
- Select a font style (I used Calibri)
- The font size of the Watermark (I would recommend you to choose “Auto” but it is not necessary)
- Choose a font color for your Text Watermark
- Select the layout (Diagonal or Horizontal)
Apply your settings and click “OK”.
DONE!!
